Helpful tools for a Healthful life

What tools are available to help us achieve health and wellbeing?

We live in such a small global world now.  Each day, newspapers inform us of world events
and how they affect and influence politics, culture and health.  Regardless of country, language or culture, however, each person (and there are 7 billion of us!) strives for a healthful and satisfying life.

What tools have you used to achieve health and wellbeing?

In North America, conventional medicine uses many tools to satisfy the health needs of millions.  Sometimes with a satisfactory result, sometimes they are unable to effect a cure.

The Institute for Noetic Science is looking at consciousness
research as a transforming tool for health care. Their research looks to a way
to influence health care with the person’s intellectual faculties contributing
in a more mindful, integrated form of healing.

There are the tools of CAM (complimentary and alternative medicine) for health care, such as acupuncture, meditation, naturopathy, to name a few.

However, almost half the population regards prayer as an alternative to, or complimentary to, conventional medicine.
In my experience, prayer has satisfied all my health needs, emotional
and physical.  In her seminal work Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy writes “The highest prayer is not one of faith merely; it is demonstration.”

This turning of thought to a higher source of inspiration and spiritual understanding has helped me when I accidentally poured a pot of boiling water over my hand. (I had intended to pour it into the teapot, but was distracted!)  I immediately turned my
thought to my highest sense of prayer and the thought of my being untouched by
anything but God’s goodness brought immediate results.  There was no pain and no mark on my hand.  I remade the pot of tea more carefully!

I am grateful for the health care tool of prayer.  Instantly available and proven effective.

I would like information on “the highest sense of prayer” please or other information about faith, cures and healing that you might wish to share with me. Note that I am from Nova Scotia.

    Thank you,
    Gordon Comeau.
